La editorial estadounidense Twilight Creations, conocida mundialmente por sus juegos y expansiones de la saga Zombies!!! diseñados por Todd Breitenstein (publicados en castellano por Edge Enterntainment), se encuentra actualmente perfilando los últimos detalles de Jupiter Rescue que muy pronto se convertirá en su próximo lanzamiento. Jupiter Rescue, diseñado por Mark Major, había sido publicado previamente a través de la plataforma de impresión por demanda The Game Crafter con el título Jupiter Deep el pasado año.
En este juego cooperativo los jugadores se convierten en robots que han de proteger una colonia de humanos del ataque de unos alienígenas que tratan de adentrarse en las instalaciones donde los colonos viven. La única posibilidad de supervivencia de la colonia se basa en el conocimiento que tienen los robots de la estación además de la ayuda que suponen sus habilidades especiales.
El objetivo del juego consiste en poner a salvo a 28 humanos fuera de la colonia, tarea que puede ser más o menos sencilla dependiendo de las piezas que los jugadores usen para construir el tablero modular. En su turno los jugadores tienen a su disposición acciones de manera que la mayoría de las tareas, como mover a uno de los colonos un espacio o disparar a los alienígenas cuestan una acción. Algunas habilidades especiales permiten teletransportarse a cualquier espacio o derrotar a una de las criaturas cuestan entre dos y tres acciones. Algunos espacios del tablero modular reducen la capacidad de acción de los jugadores por lo que los jugadores deben planificar cuidadosamente sus movimientos y acciones.
