La editorial americana ZMAN Games anunciaba hoy Chimera, un nuevo título que añadirá a su ya extenso catálogo durante el cuarto trimestre del año. Chimera es un juego de cartas para 3 jugadores diseñado por Ralph H. Anderson que parte de un bastante original ya que dos de los jugadores han de enfrentarse conjuntamente contra otro jugador en cada mano.
Con una mecánica similar a otros juegos de cartas como Tichu, El Gran Dalmuti (publicado en castellano por Devir) y muchos otros, en cada mano se designa un jugador como chimera y los otros dos han de intentar derrotarle. Los jugadores compiten por puntuar en varias manos de juego jugando diversas combinaciones de cartas hasta que uno de los jugadores alcanza el umbral de puntos fijado de antemano. Normalmente las partidas se juegan a 400 puntos pero se pueden alargar o acortar variando este número de puntos.
