Exploding Kittens, nuevo record en kickstarter Hoy ha terminado la campaña en kickstarter de Exploding Kittens, el juego de cartas diseñado por el equipo del webcomic "The Oatmeal" recaudando la impresionante cifra de más de ocho millones de dólares.
Puede que otros proyectos en la plataforma de financiación hayan superado dicha cantidad, pero lo que es cierto es que muy pocos de mesa o cartas, por no decir ninguno, ha conseguido la friolera de más de 8 millones de dólares de recaudación (8.782.571 para ser exactos) gracias a los 219.382 mecenas que apoyaron el título que, para ser el juego y con la mecánica que tiene, me parece bastante caro. Estas cifras han alzado a Exploding Kittens al tercer puesto de los proyectos que más han recaudado y el que más mecenas han tenido apoyándolo en toda la historia de la plataforma.
Recordemos que Exploding kittens es un juego casual, con el único objetivo de no sacar un gato, lo que provocará que perdamos. Hay otras opciones para evitar tan fatal destino como usar una carta de desactivar para que el gatito no explote. O también pueden jugar varias cartas, a cada cual más absurda, para pasar su turno, atacar a otros jugadores, echarle un vistazo al mazo. Incluso puede recolocar en la mesa una carta de gatito, lo que según sus creadores da pie a "complejas, divertidas y crueles estrategias contra los demás jugadores".
Sin lugar a dudas, el efecto fan del webcomic ha provocado un efecto llamada que ha asegurado el éxito de la campaña; la mayoría de los mecenas optaron por la opción de 35 ¤ que incluía dos barajas. Viendo el éxito del juego, y aunque los responsables no se han pronunciado en un plan para lanzarlo al mercado, no es de extrañar que el mismo llegue a las tiendas ¿o tal vez no?

Pozi, a mi también me llamó mucho la atención que desde el primer momento iban rompiendo records en kickstarter.
Como dices, debe haber sido el hecho de tener ya una buena base de fans (entre los que me cuento ;D) y que no era muy caro el que haya conseguido taaaanta pasta.
