¿Alguien ha seguido o tiene noticias de esto?
Perdón si ya se ha hablado por aquí, pero no lo he encontrado. Tengo muy buenos recuerdos de partidas al Conquistador de AH en los 80 y dentro de poco voy a estrenar una copia que compré no hace mucho. Es un juego viejo y se nota el paso del tiempo en sus mecánicas anticuadas y en la duración de una partida. pero no me resisto a recordar viejos tiempos... ¿Pensáis que le reedición lo mejorará? ¿Conservará su esencia o será un juego completamente distinto? En BGG sigue poniendo 360 min de juego, igual que en el de 1976...

Yo tambien le tengo un ojo encima, pero me voy a esperar a las reseñas, la ultima actualizacion de uno de los juegos tematicos de Richard Berg (Blackbeard) no salio bien.
yo estoy como Celacanto, hay un video del año pasado de la CSW donde Calendale se sienta en una mesa donde están haciendo un playtesting.
El problema es q el juego es carete.
Siempre ha sido caro. A principios de los 80 lo vi en un Corte Inglés por 4.800 pts, (lo recuerdo porque aún tengo alguno de aquellos años con la pegatina del precio). En aquel entonces para mi era casi prohibitivo, a lo sumo me podía permitir 1 juego al año de Avalon Hill y algún que otro NAC, que solían valer alrededor de 2.000 pts.
bueno, el clasico de AH se puede encontrar tirado de precio, nunca fué un juego muy de culto

El Conquistador no estaba mal como idea, pero el acabado era regulero... Si no recuerdo mal, como te dedicases a piratear al español siendo inglés o francés, nada le impedía a este mandar a los conquistadores a degollar colonos, y no rentaba.
Si lo comparamos con los juegos "modernos" el Conquistador era largo, descompensado y con algunas mecánicas pesadas, tiradas en tablas evitables y diseño gráfico poco vistoso... pero para los estándares de 1986 (por ejemplo) era una pasada :)
Por eso he preguntado, para ver si alguién sabía si habían podido convertir esa gran idea (un juego sobre el descubrimiento de América que abarca desde 1495 a 1600 con colonización, evangelización, combate, piratería, exterminio de nativos, explotación de minas y transporete del oro, saqueo de ciudades,...¡guau!) en algo más jugable y elegante.
De todas formas, pienso jugar al clásico, aunque sólo sea para recordar aquellas partidas...
Hola. Me apunto al hilo por si hay alguna novedad ya que se asemeja mucho a algo que ando buscando con interés, un juego que abarque ese periodo y esa temática. Sabéis algo más? Saludos.
