Paper Tales se unirá al catalogo de novedades de Mercurio en 2018, tras el anuncio de Manhattan, el siguiente juego de la lista que ha causado sorpresa, pero sobre todo mucho interés es este Paper Tales.

Mercurio se ha propuesto abarcar un mercado más amplio en este año y para ello nos propone un catalogo realmente interesante, con títulos para grupos de jugadores muy variados.

Paper Tales es un juego diseñado por Masato Uesugi, autor conocido entre otros por Legado Perdido, título que realizo en colaboración el diseñador Seiji Kanai.

En esta ocasión el autor nos trae un juego de cartas rápido, con ritmo que se puede jugar en partidas de 2 a 5 jugadores con una duración aproximada de 30 minutos por partida.

Paper tales nos traslada a la época medieval donde tendremos que gestionar nuestro reino en busca de la gloria y la conquista. Deberemos gestionar nuestro ejército, conseguir financiación y construir edificios que nos proporcionen mayores recursos.

El juego se desarrolla durante 2 siglos y como novedad implemente un sistema en el que nuestras tropas irán envejeciendo y muriendo, por lo que tendremos que estar gestionando estos ciclos durante la partida.

Paper Tales es un juego de cartas con mecánicas de Draft y gestión de mano.

En cada turno los jugadores elegirán 5 unidades de combate que luego reclutarán en su reino, suponiendo que puedan pagarlas. Estas unidades determinaran el poder de cada jugador en los combates, su nivel de ingresos y su capacidad para construir edificios que otorguen puntos.

Solo habrá cuatro rondas de contratación a lo largo de la partida, pero tendremos que vigilar a nuestras unidades porque estas envejecen y acabaran desapareciendo.
