GAME START STUDIO has been teasing a brand new board game project!!



Darkest Doom is a competitive strategy game with RPG elements for 1-4 players, set in a dark fantasy world inspired by XVII century Europe and inhabited by anthropomorphic animals.
Will you survive for the 9 days of the Eclipse as the Darkness tries to annihilate the region of Betel?
Will you prove to be the best Guardian and rightful heir to High Priestess Elaine or will you take one of the other paths to victory?



The game is set to come to Kickstarter soon and you can follow their previews HERE. If you do, they have talked about revealing more details on the game ahead of the project launch.

With the old title, your game was "that Italian dungeon crawler". It made your game extravagant and internationally recognizable. At the same time, it was close enough to "Renegade" to be easily remembered.

The new title feels standarized. It's very hard to tell apart "Chronicles of Norghvang" from the dozens of dungeon crawlers that use stapled terms (awakening, saga, quest, adventurers of, legend of...), archetypical fantasy names, and maybe a catchy alliteration. And you even use TWO complex fantasy names (Norghvang and Meistari), which is bad, because those don't stick in the mind after reading the title just once. That name will be easily forgotten or overlooked.

thank for your opinion... "Chronicles of Norghvang" is the boardgame name... and Meistari's Awakening is the title of the first questbook

Norghvang is the name of the world and Meistari is the name of dark lord.

Now we take all your comments (in all forum) and rework at title and graphics... thank you guys

GameStart Edizioni embrances Rinnegati Adventures!! This is an important and wonderful news for our project which, after years of developing material and rules, finds a collaboration with professionals. We are energized and ready to face this new adventure!!!!!!

I don't know DUN well but from what I've seen it looks very similar to an RPG. RA I think is leaner may have the same narrative depth.
I think the part of our travels is very different, the map that the Heroes can see has no indication of what it hides but only shows where the settlements are.
The Dark Player will have a different map with all the information on the locations of events, sidequests and quests from the main campaign.
Heroes will be able to discover these places by finding information in settlements or during quests.
