¿Cómo se puntúa un juego en la BGG?

Bon día.
Alguien me puede explicar la puntuación de los juegos en la BGG. A saber:

Num Voters: Pues eso, cuanta gente a votado ese juego.
Avg Rating: La media de todas las puntuaciones.
Geek Rating: Esto no sé que es.

Por defecto aparecen ordenados por Geek Rating.
Una cosa que no me cuadra; si un juego sólo lo puntúan 2 personas (por decir un número) y esas dos personas le han puesto un 10. ¿En Avg Rating aparecería un 10 en la puntuación?¿Y en Geek Rating?
No sé, la verdad que no entiendo muy bien como se puntúan los juegos. Si alguien fuese tan amable de explicármelo estaría muy agradecido. Gracias.

What is the Difference Between BGG Rating and User Rating?

If you look at a list of games within BGG you may see a BGG Rating number between 1 and 10. If you then click on that game and go to the game's main page you will see a User Rating and an Average Rating. Most of the time, the BGG Rating number will be different from the User and Average Ratings. Why is this?

The User Rating of a game is the Average Rating rounded down to 1 decimal point. The Average Rating for a game is the average of all ratings from registered BGG users that the game has received, calculated by adding up all individual ratings and dividing by the number of ratings.

The BGG Rating is based on the Average Rating, but the number is altered. BoardGameGeek's ranking charts are ordered using the BGG Rating. To prevent games with relatively few votes climbing to the top of the BGG Ranks, artificial "dummy" votes are added to the User Ratings. These votes are currently thought to be 100 votes equal to the mid range of the voting scale: 5.5. The effect of adding these dummy votes is to pull BGG Ratings toward the mid range. Games with a large number of votes see their BGG Rating alter very little from their Average Rating, but games with relatively few user ratings will see their BGG Rating move considerably toward 5.5. This is known as "Bayesian averaging" and a quick search of both BGG and/or the Web will reveal much discussion on the topic.

In effect, usually the games with many votes will Rank higher than those games with the same Average Rating but fewer votes.

Básicamente, para el Geek Rating si solo han votado 2 personas básicamente se inventan otras 98 100 con una nota de 5.5.

Luego, también ten en cuenta que las notas van de 1 a 10. No se puede puntuar 0. Por tanto, la media no es 5, sino 5.5.

Un matiz: realmente siempre se añaden 100 votos con nota 5.5, que no es lo mismo que "añadir votos hasta llegar a 100 votos", ya que de lo contrario una votación de 100 10s tendría GeekRating de 10, lo cual sería un canteo

Que mas da como se construyan si lo importante es luego criticar bien esas puntuaciones....

Entonces debido a que los juegos medianamente buenos la gente les suele dar notas por encima de 5.5, para que un juego empiece a tener notas que sean un reflejo real de al valoración de la gente necesita un mínimo de 200 notas.

No necesariamente, suma amiguismos, interesados, gente que vota para fastidiar, etc. 200 creo que siguen siendo pocos.

Eso de los 100 5.5 está claro que no es así porque ni se le acerca.

Para mi sobra el Geekrating ya que a mi no me dice si un juego es bueno o no lo es. Lo que nos interesa es la valoración general de los usuarios. En mi opinión, el Geekrating debería ser una valoracion menos generalista por parte del staff de la BGG.
